The event itself I found to be very useful and informative, there were opportunities throughout the day for networking with potential employers, an ‘insider insights’ session where we could chat to current graduates and find out about their experiences, and also sessions that worked on enhancing our skills and application techniques. This included a group activity which paired us with one of the group partners (in my case, Siemens) to carry out a group activity in the style of an assessment centre. We were given constructive feedback on the activity, our strengths and weaknesses as a group and how we could apply these skills to future assessment centres. One of my favourite parts of the day was a panel discussion, where we had the opportunity to ask questions of senior female representatives from the partnering organisations. Overall it was an excellent event, really well organised by TARGETjobs, who all were extremely helpful and supportive of all the attendees. It was like a personalised career fair with extra flair, with lots of aspects that were beneficial to everyone that attended.
